Acting Commissioner Whyte is the holder of Diplomas in Fire Prevention and Operational Command from the Fire Service College at Moreton-in-Marsh, England, Fire Service Administration from the Fire Defence Agency (Tokyo Japan)Hazardous Materials Response Training in St Agustine Florida USA, City and Guild of London Institute (CGLI) Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technician from the University of Technology (Jamaica). He also possesses Certificate in Risk Management in Community Development Planning from SSPA Maritime Consulting AB, Sweden and has respesented the Fire Brigade on numerous occasions at various seminars locally, regionally and internationally.
DCFO Whyte is an electronics and computer enthusiast, an interest which led to him being instrumental in the development of the website of the Jamaica Fire Brigade. He maintains an active interest in the management of the site and in the general techological development of the Brigade. |
